| Originally
a designer of window visuals for Macys, Gucci, Bergdorf Goodman
and Carolee Jewelry, Jodi went on to apprentice with noted floral
designers such as David Madison and Robert Isabel. She formed her
company in 1997, seeking to explore her creative outlets as a woman
in a male dominated field. |
 |
| Her
unique ability to take direction from the personality of a client,
the atmosphere and layout of a room, the theme of an event, a movement
in a piece of music or even a swatch of fabric and filter these varied
elements through her own artistic eye has won her an impressive following.
The companys client roster spans from corporations: Avon, Estee
Lauder, Miramax, Random House, Sony-Columbia Pictures, Walt Disney
Pictures to fashion designers: Cynthia Rowley and Vivienne Tam, to
personalities: David Blaine, Jim Carrey, Matt Dillon, Lauren Holly,
Liz Hurley, Winona Ryder and Queen Latifah among others. |
 |
| Today,
Jodi has turned this pleasure into a growing nationwide business that
manages to retain an intimate private design feel. This season Jodi
Zimmerman Designs, inc. continues with their line of "Fashionable
Flowers". The various wrapped vessels and arrangements incorporate
leather, lace, furs, pearls and prints inspired by the houses of Chanel,
Versace, Donna Karan, Helmut Lang, Dolce & Gabanna and Calvin
Klein. Each season the collection will highlight current styles and
trends in fashion and design. |
